My vibe is a dark forest under the clear night sky, the moon and stars on full display, peaking through the pine branches and calling me home. Add in a sprinkling of anything paranormal, especially ghosts, aliens, witches, and spooky conspiracy theories, and the recipe is almost complete. My husband and our two puppy babies are my life.

I’m deeply spiritual. I believe in magic, miracles, happy surprises, and signs. Everything happens for a reason, and timing is everything.

My favorite shows: Sabrina, Friends, X-Files, Roswell, Forensic Files, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Metalocalypse, and What We Do in the Shadows.

My favorite movies: Donnie Darko, About Time, and Deathgasm.

My favorite books: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, The Guardians of Time by Marianne Curley, The Smell of Other People’s Houses by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock, The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix, and A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. My favorite band: Brand New. They’re my soul band—no other music will ever compare. Their sound aged like fine wine, each album better than the last. Science Fiction is pure gold. Gold!

Would you believe my favorite song is actually “The Suburbs” by Arcade Fire, and not something by Brand New? 🤷 Although, their reworked demo “Missing You” comes pretty damn close. “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears is also pure perfection.

Other things that make me happy: makeup, painting, video games, cooking/baking adventures with my husband, walking through the suburbs at night while the world is quiet, especially those not too cold, not too hot nights when there are intermittent fluffy clouds amongst the bright stars, and the clouds are slightly glowing… Those nights are particularly comforting for my soul. ☁️

I will abandon whatever I’m doing to watch the sunset or admire the moon and stars.
